Celebrate the transformative power of colour at Brilliant Encounters, the newest themed show at Artworks Gallery Guelph. This vibrant collection features stunning works by local artists, including nature-inspired lamps, paintings in chalk, pastel, oil, and acrylic, and intricate textile designs embellished with ribbon, beads, and hand-dyed fabrics.
As our holiday decorations are tucked away and our living spaces return to a more neutral theme, we crave visual stimulation. Colour has a psychological effect on the brain that can change our mood and energize our minds.
Let the kaleidoscope of hues lift your spirits as you explore the warmth of our gallery on a winter's day. Pair your visit with a stroll along the nearby riverside trail and a hot chocolate from Lost Aviator Coffee Co. next door.
Join us for the grand opening on January 12 from 1–4 PM, featuring meet-and-greets with the artists, live music by local violinist Cassie Norton, complimentary refreshments, and a chance to win an original piece of art. Admission is free, and all artworks are available for purchase.
Member artists: Patti Collins, Nancy Inberg Farrell, Diana Scott, Sharyn Seibert, and Suzanne Wakefield
Featured artist: Joan Callister
Emerging artist: Deb Stocker
Located at 404 York Rd, Artworks Gallery is now more accessible than ever, with the reopening of York Road. We invite you to experience a feast for your eyes, enliven your spirit, and perhaps bring home a piece of art to brighten and warm your space.
