A Guelph, Ont., man has been charged after police say a daycare was the target of online threats that included a photo of an "improvised weapon."

Police say the online threats were made on the page of the suspect's personal social media account and included the name of the daycare centre as well as a picture of the weapon. Police would not say what kind of weapon was used in the post.

Threats against some city workers were also made in the posts.
