Waterloo region currently does not have a special weather statement
CBC NewsA spring ice storm is expected to hit parts of central and northeastern Ontario this weekend, including Guelph, Erin and southern Wellington County.
A special weather statement for freezing rain was issued by Environment Canada on Wednesday afternoon. It includes parts of Ontario from Guelph in the west, Sault Ste. Marie in the north and Ottawa in the east. Waterloo region is not currently part of the weather statement.
